LINGUISTICS DISCUSSION GROUP: [UPDATED: 1 DECEMBER 2008]

NEWS FLASH: GACL-2: The Student Workshop will take place on Sunday, December 14!

The Linguistics Discussion Group is a circle for students and linguists here in Cyprus to get together regularly and discuss interesting issues in current (theoretically relevant) linguistics, which grew out of irregularly organized regular meetings opf the narrower Syntax Reading Group. If/When I find the time, I will post a proper manifesto and update this page a little. For the time being, some basic info on the What and When.

Starting September 26, we'll be meeting every Friday from around 4.30pm for a couple of hours or so in the conference room of the UCY Department of English Studies (M 105, first floor) during the semester period -- at least until December 5 to present and discuss our own research or introduce to the group a themed research area of our interest.
