TTL-COURSE NEWS

WIKIPEDIA [JAN 27]

I handed out the Wikipedia entries for Chomsky's first book, Syntactic Structures (1957), which can be downloaded here and for 'Transformational Grammar' (here).

DETAILS [JAN 18]

Make sure you reserve your time for the course workshop (Friday and Saturday, May 15-16). Since you know the date now, you might want to talk to your other instructors if there are conflicting exam dates to move them. This is your responsibility. The dates are fixed. In "exchange" for making these two days available to the course, we will not have make-up classes for the periods I'll be away this semester (details to be announced in due time). That is, apart from the 3 hours for a final exam, the other hours you'll have to reserve for the workshop will be accumulated throughout the semester. This does not mean, however, that you should not attend classes, and neither does it mean that you should not spend your time reading and preparing when I'm gone. All other news and updates will be communicated in class and/or on these pages.
