OK, as you have realized, we don't play by the book, any textbook. Let's just go along and re-evaluate all our GB-assumptions. We don't really need to spell out a syllabus, but I thought it might be nice to capture some of the empirical points we discuss in class. If I get positive feedback, I'll keep track of all the things Norbert throws at you in class (VO vs. OV, V2 vs. V-final, does German have grammatical passive etc..)--most likely you don't immediately know what he is referring to, so I offer to compile some data sets and post them here.

Please let me know if you would like this, and if so, what format you'd prefer them to be posted in.

So, Sunday night, 11.30pm... I spent some hours compiling a first version of data from some languages, mainly what we mentioned in class plus more. It's not complete yet, neither is it perfect--but PLEASE let me know whether you want this, whether it's useful, otherwise I'd spend my time writing a dissertation.
